State Health Dept: Flu-related deaths hit 278 for season

The Oklahoma State Department of Health has reported several new flu-related deaths.

A total of 278 people have now died for flu-related reasons since the flu season began Sept. 1. Tulsa County has been hit hardest by the flu -- 51 people have died in the county for flu-related reasons. In Oklahoma County, 43 deaths have been recorded to go along with 795 hospitalizations.

The Health Department says 4,665 people have been hospitalized for flu-related reasons in the same time span.
